("Registered under the Certificate of Registration of Societies, West Bengal Act XXVI of 1961")
KMWS was established in 2014 and has emerged as a social development organization dedicated to the betterment of rural, semi-rural, and underprivileged communities that depend on agriculture and non-farm-based activities for their livelihood and progress.
Since its establishment, KMWS has designed and implemented multiple developmental programs and skill-building initiatives across West Bengal. These initiatives focus on sustainable agriculture, natural resource management, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, promotion of community-based organizations, women’s holistic development, irrigation, digital literacy, sanitation, and rural infrastructure development.
The organization also works toward socio-economic upliftment through programs related to safe drinking water, health management, e-governance, skill development, Make in India initiatives, and housing development by effectively implementing and monitoring various national development programs.
Through these efforts, KMWS aims to provide practical solutions to the challenges faced by rural communities, including poverty, unemployment, limited access to education, and inadequate infrastructure. The organization promotes capacity building, skill training, and awareness programs to empower individuals and communities to become self-reliant and improve their quality of life.
KMWS continues to work in challenging rural environments where poverty, unemployment, and the lack of basic infrastructure remain major concerns. Its beneficiaries include vulnerable and marginalized groups such as poor farmers, tribal women, farm laborers, landless agricultural workers, small-scale rural entrepreneurs, youth, and other underprivileged communities who require support in skill development, education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
